Energence rooftop units are designed for high efficiency and easy configuration. The Prodigy 2.0 Unit Controller provides a guided setup to ensure accurate commissioning in a shorter amount of time.
Our Energence® High-Efficiency rooftop units are designed to save energy and reduce operating expenses. With efficiency ratings up to 18.0 SEER, 12.8 EER and 16.0 IEER, they can provide significant utility savings throughout the year. Each product is engineered with features that help keep maintenance low and performance high, including:

This comes with a manufacturer’s 10-year limited warranty on the aluminized gas heat exchanger, a 5-year limited warranty on the compressor, a 3-year limited warranty on the Prodigy® 2.0 unit controller, and a 1-year limited warranty on covered components. The Environ coil system has a 3-year limited warranty and a 1-year limited warranty on covered components.
Efficient System Design
The Energence High-Efficiency rooftop units exceed the latest U.S. Department of Energy minimum standards by up to 38%. Compared to a less efficient unit, an Energence rooftop unit can provide significant energy savings while delivering year-round comfort. In addition, various optional enhancements are available to achieve even greater efficiency and performance benefits. The part-load efficiency has been increased to match ASHRAE 90.1 – 2013, and the Environ coil and the patented MSAV® supply fan technology (available as an option on 6 to 25 ton units) further optimize the Energence unit’s energy use.
Prodigy® 2.0
The Prodigy 2.0 controller is a unit controller that comes standard with every Energence® unit. It helps optimize system performance and meet design specifications. The Prodigy 2.0 controller makes it easy to monitor and control the system with its user-friendly interface. The home screen can be accessed from any point in the menu for quick and easy operation.
Efficiency
Lennox Energence rooftop units deliver up to 18.0 SEER, 16.0 IEER, and 12.8 EER, making them some of the most energy-efficient units available. The optional SmartAirflow system can save up to 35% of annual ventilation energy consumption compared to traditional rooftop units. The available MSAV supply fan provides year-round savings and comfort with reduced energy consumption, improved indoor air quality, and code compliance. These units are available in 3-50 ton models (gas/electric and electric/electric) and exceed ASHRAE 90.1-2010 minimum standards by 92%. They are also ENERGY STAR qualified and can be factory- or field-installed with a high-performance economizer to meet Title 24 requirements.
Comfort/IAQ
The Energence® rooftop units from Lennox are designed for durability and improved serviceability with features like a corrosion-resistant, removable, reversible, double-sloped drain pan. Foil-faced insulation on all internal surfaces that contact airflow helps minimize airborne fibers and improve IAQ. Multiple cooling stages helps reduce temperature swings and maintains tighter control for improved comfort. The ComfortSense® 8500 Commercial Thermostat enables all four stages of heating and cooling. The patented Humiditrol® dehumidification system allows for independent control of temperature and humidity, providing enhanced comfort control.
Serviceability
The Energence® rooftop units from Lennox feature hinged access panels that make it easy to get to components, and protect the panels and roof from damage during servicing. The units also have an isolated compressor compartment that allows performance checking during normal compressor operation without disrupting airflow. Additionally, the slide-out blower on the unit makes it easy to tension, adjust or replace belts, and makes cleaning the blower easier. Lastly, the BACnet® module allows two-way communication for system monitoring, diagnostics and remote troubleshooting.
Reliability
The Energence® Rooftop Units from Lennox feature an innovative Environ™ coil system that significantly reduces the amount of refrigerant required, while also maximizing reliability and sustainability. The unit controller has been updated to the Prodigy® 2.0 version, with an enhanced user interface that makes setup, troubleshooting and servicing easier than ever. Additionally, each unit tracks the runtime of every major component and records the date and time when service or maintenance is performed. For ease of installation, the SmartWire™ system simplifies field sensor or thermostat installation through advanced connectors that are keyed and color-coded. Finally, the Scroll compressor provides reliable, long-term operation, while the thermostatic expansion valves provide peak cooling performance across the entire application range (fixed orifices are available on standard-efficiency 12.5-ton model).
Options
The Energence rooftop units by Lennox are available in 3 to 5 ton sizes and have been designed to meet California’s New Gas Heat Emissions Rule 1111. These units come with a variety of factory-installed options such as the blower belt auto-tensioner, HACR circuit breakers, direct-drive blower motor, and more. In addition, there are a number of field-installed options that can be added on as well, such as coil guards, hail guards, horizontal economizer control kits, and more.
