ALL CONTRACTORS ARE NOT CREATED EQUAL

Most homeowners are under the false impression that all contractors are created equal and that no matter who installs the air conditioning system the results will be the same. Nothing could be further from the truth. In order for your new air conditioner to function at the specified SEER rating it must be installed to meet the manufacturers specifications and the installation should be modeled to meet the Energy Star Program. A new air conditioning system must be properly designed and engineered in order to achieve maximum performance. The size of the supply and return duct work are critical to the operation of your new air conditioner.

Most companies you contract for an estimate today will simply show up at your home, take a quick look at the size or tons of your equipment and VOILA!! They pull a price out of a hat. Wrong!! Wrong!! Wrong!! These companies are guessing and simply plan to replace your air conditioner without identifying or correcting all the performance improvements necessary to assure that your new system operates at the specified SEER rating. Your first clue that you are about to get a bad installation is when the contractor does not pull a permit. The real loser in this situation is you. Due to the poor installation, your new air conditioner will be operating with a 30% loss in efficiency and costing you approximately an extra $50 per month on your electric bills. In ten years, you will waste an extra $6,000 just on extra energy cost.

If you need a new A/C and want to make sure you get a proper installation. Call ECM at 561-585-9850 and schedule a free estimate with one of our expert technicians.
